Kylie Shae is the Team Lead for Access to Medical Devices and Assistive Technology at the World Health Organization (WHO) Headquarters in Geneva. She leads global initiatives to improve access to essential medical devices and assistive products, ensuring their integration into health systems and alignment with universal health coverage goals. Kylie’s work supports countries in implementing evidence-based policies, strengthening service delivery, and building inclusive health systems that leave no one behind. With over 30 years of experience in disability and international development, she brings a rights-based, equity-focused approach to global health. Prior to joining WHO, Kylie founded and led Motivation Australia, advancing rehabilitation services across the Pacific. She is an accredited Partnership Broker and a Higher Degree Research student at Flinders University. Awarded the Order of Australia Medal in 2019, Kylie is committed to practical, inclusive solutions that promote participation, independence, and dignity through access to medical devices and assistive technology.
