Dr Pisak Chinchai is an associate professor and occupational therapist with over two decades of experience advancing disability and rehabilitation services in rural Thailand. Dr Chinchai has been instrumental in pioneering community-based rehabilitation by establishing village-level centres in collaboration with local leaders and training community members and health volunteers to deliver free, accessible care. His innovative approach is widely regarded as a foundational model for primary health care in Thailand.
